SalaryWe are seeking two ABA therapists to support 2 young child with an ASD diagnosis. The goal will be to assist the kids to participate in a multidisciplinary program delivering ABA objectives by applying the Lovaas Model of behaviour therapy.
Primary duties include:
- Extensive training will be provided in Applied Behaviour Analysis to enable employees to best support the children with acquisition of skills.
- Commit to 10 hours per week: Mon-Fri 1:00pm-3:00pm.
- This position is ideal for someone who can work autonomously.
- The applicant will enjoy working with and mentoring kids: and can be both fun and educational!
Desired skills and experience:
- Experience working with children; nanny, childcare, university student.
- Be willing to work with children with autism from age 7 to 9 years old.
- Possess great communication/interpersonal skills and exceptional time management skills.
- Be flexible and dependable with scheduled appointments.
- Current valid Working with Children Check.
Days and hours of support needed:
- Monday – Friday, 1:00pm-3:00pm
- Location is Hawthorn, 15 minutes walk from the train station or 5 minutes walk to the tram.
- Pay: $40-$50 per hour
