Employment Type: Temporary Part Time - Up Until 30 January 2028

An Eligibility List (E-List) or talent pool may be created from this recruitment episode to assist in filling future permanent, temporary, or casual full-time and part-time positions. 

This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks’ notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

Join us at Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) in our mission to enhance access to culturally sensitive and safe Violence Abuse and Neglect (VAN) services on Darkinjung country. We're seeking an Aboriginal Family Clinician to join our Whole Family Team, dedicated to supporting the recovery and ongoing safety of families and children involved with the child protection system. In this role, you'll receive clinical and cultural support, working within a culturally centred, trauma-informed approach. With smaller clinical loads, you'll have the time to foster strong community connections, offer genuine cultural consultation, and uphold the cultural integrity of care for our Aboriginal clients. About You

  • Are you deeply connected to your Aboriginal community and have experience in community engagement and understanding of Aboriginal cultures?
  • Do you possess a strong understanding of working with individuals dealing with mental health and/or substance abuse issues or supporting complex families?
  • Do you hold a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, or have you completed the ECAV Graduate Certificate in Human and Community Services (Interpersonal Trauma)? Alternatively, are you committed to completing the ECAV Certificate IV in Aboriginal Family Wellbeing and Violence Prevention within your first year of employment?
  • Are you passionate about your work and eager for growth opportunities within a supportive team environment, with possession of an eligible NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel for work?
