About the roleWe are seeking applications from experienced and highly motivated Aboriginal Health Practitioners to join our skilled and supportive team.
As the Aboriginal Health Practitioner you will be responsible for the provision of high quality, culturally comprehensive services to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for Aboriginal patients.
Aboriginal Health Practitioners are an integral part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team at Dubbo Health Service providing a crucial link between the Health Service and the community. This is a key position in establishing and building relationships between Aboriginal patients and care clinicians to achieve best patient outcomes.
The Aboriginal Health Practitioner will network and liaise with the multi-disciplinary team, government and non-government service providers to ensure a co-ordinated approach to health care service delivery. They will deliver culturally appropriate and clinically competent health care and health care education to patients, assist in providing education to staff across the Health Service to ensure culturally appropriate service delivery.
This position is operationally responsible to the Executive Team at Dubbo Health Service through the Team Leader for Aboriginal Health. You will be supported by your team, the multi-disciplinary team and the Aboriginal Health Leadership team from the strategic directorate.
