The Role
The Aboriginal Project Officer, Population Health position is responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating and providing strategic coordination of sexual health and harm reduction programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People in custody with a particular focus on young people as a priority.
The position will primarily focus on strengthening health literacy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people in custody through the implementation of relevant state and commonwealth health strategies and plans.
To be eligible for this position you must be a person of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander decent – an applicant’s race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14 of the Discrimination Act 1997 NSW.
