Position Summary:
The Academic Support Officer plays a crucial role in delivering top-notch administrative and service support at the IMC Perth Campus. The responsibilities encompass a wide array of academic, student services, and administrative functions. Recognizing the interconnected nature of student and academic affairs, the position underscores the significance of both front-facing student interactions and behind-the-scenes administrative duties. The specific activities assigned may evolve based on Campus needs.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Guide students on curriculum options and assist with subject selection
- Process student enrolments ensuring accurate documentation and maintenance of enrolment records
- Manage the Academic Support email and promptly respond to student inquiries, providing necessary information
- Assist in arranging class schedules and coordinating classroom assignments, ensuring efficient use of academic resources
- Provide support for exam-related activities, including coordinating exam logistics, assisting students with exam-related inquiries, and ensuring a smooth exam administration process
- Assist with academic administration applications and processes
- Coordinate with student academic appeal cases
- Provide support and assistance to the Academic Manager as needed
- Adhere to company policies and processes and attend all necessary meetings and training
Selection Criteria: Essential
- Knowledge and understanding of the Australian higher education industry;
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- Completion of a relevant degree or an equivalent combination of relevant skills and knowledge
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
- Able to work independently with initiative, as well as collaboratively as part of a team
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
