About the role
We have an opportunity for a Accommodation Case Worker to join our Youth Wellbeing and Accommodation team on a permanent full-time basis. The role is to provide case management and tenancy support to people residing in the Carlow House, Coolock and Frayne Accommodation services inclusive of practical tenancy support, life skills, referrals, advocacy, health and wellbeing and parenting support.
The role will also provide care strategies and support to Residential Youth Workers at Carlow House who work with young people aged 16 to 19 years.
About you
- You’ll have experience working with complex young people, adults and families, and have a passion to be a part of making a positive impact on someone’s life.
- Certificate IV in a relevant field (Youth Work Community Service, AOD, Mental Health) is highly desired.
- Knowledge of supportive landlord model and approach
- Understanding of evidence-based service models
- Experience in parental and child development
- Understanding of the National Housing and Homelessness Agreement
- Prior experience working in a residential setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of issues presented by homeless people
- Prior experience in case work within the community sector
- Ability to be innovative and flexible, with excellent communication skills
- Working with Children Check
- Drivers Licence
- COVID and Influenza vaccinations are preferred but not required
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
