Job description

We're partnering with an insurance broker on the NSW Central Coast to find a person with prior experience in the general insurance industry from either a broking or insurer perspective.

If you're coming in as an assistant, you will support an Account Executive to begin. As you learn the ropes and gain industry qualifications, you’ll transition to managing your own portfolio of clients. More experienced candidates will manage a portfolio depending on skills and desired role.

As a standard part of your employment, you will have opprotunity to undergo a comprehensive training program that covers everything from supporting clients to offering professional advice on a range of commercial insurance products.

Whether you're currently working in broking, sales or service, within the general insurance industry, within a brokerage or an insurer, this is definitely worth considering.

About you

  • You have exposure to general insurance products gained through a relevant insurance role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a natural ability to organise and plan.
  • You have worked in a general insurance brokerage, insurer or underwriting agency role and enjoy helping people.
  • You enjoy meeting and talking to new people, and growing your network.
  • You have a personal preference for working in and collaborating with a team.

  • Learn to manage your own book of clients.
  • Obtain, evaluate and present quotes for new business.

The key to success is your ability to collaborate and passion for learning combined with some prior general insurance experience as described. You  work effectively as part of a team, and a drive to ensure that clients receive the best possible service and work with the required business' processes.
