The Account Manager role is primarily based in Melbourne and the surrounding areas, however there will be periodic requirements to travel intrastate and interstate to provide support to our customers and team. Although you will spend the majority of your time visiting our valued customers, your home base will be our Melbourne Distribution Centre located in Tullamarine.
You'll work as a trusted and integral team member reporting directly to the National Commercial Manager, responsible for managing our current customers base while also prospecting new business opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Forging and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new accounts.
- Regular site visits to meet with customers.
- Developing opportunities to cross-sell products to existing customers.
- Training, coaching and managing existing customers on correct cleaning processes.
- Working with and developing business through our distributor network.
- Strategic brainstorming and implementation of new business development initiatives including prospecting.
- Installing and maintaining dispensing equipment and assisting in managing new business roll outs.
- Liaising with personnel throughout the entire business to ensure mutual goals are achieved.
- Developing and leveraging the company’s branding and professional profile.
You will need:
- Minimum two years of previous experience in a BDM, Account Management or Service Technician role.
- Experience within the cleaning chemical industry is required.
- Experience installing and maintaining chemical dispensing equipment.
- A customer focused and ‘can do’ attitude.
- A safety first focus.
- An ability to build rapport with people at all levels.
- A ‘hands-on’ approach to business.
- A proven ability to plan, develop and execute business strategies.
- Excellent communication, listening, planning, time management & presentation skills.
