An exciting opportunity currently exists for an experienced Account Manager to join our bulk cement team based at Pinkenba. Reporting to the Sales Manager – Cement, this role will be accountable for the promotion and selling of Wagners cement and associated products to our new and existing customer base.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Regular travel, visiting existing customers and identifying opportunities for the business
- Establishing, developing and maintaining customer relationships
- Gather market intelligence on potential customers, opposition suppliers and industry trends
- Undertaking all duties associated with managing client accounts including but not limited to identifying product and service needs, delivery requirements, complaint resolution etc
- Striving for and achieving set sales revenue budgets
- Build brand loyalty and maximise revenues
- Work to raise the profile of Wagners in the local market
- Providing relief coverage for other team members (Sales/ Allocations/ Administration from time to time)
- Provide quotations to new and existing customers in a timely manner as well as maintaining the quote register
- Regular use of the company CRM system
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- Sound computer knowledge (MS Office – Word & Excel)
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Possess flexibility, adaptability and versatility of approach to handle changing work requirements
- Ability to establish and manage working relationships with Directors, Senior Management Team and employees
- Accounts management background within the cement industry, or similar
- Either a relevant tertiary business qualification or a minimum 5 years’ experience/ exposure in handling a small business
- Be a professional self-starter with a passion for excellence in customer service and business development.
