OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a progressive locally-owned farm machinery business with locations across Western Australia and South Australia. Part of a global network, for over 70 years they've helped advance the Agricultural industry by supplying and maintaining high quality farm equipment including (but not limited to) tractors, harvesters among other pieces of machinery. The position would have you responsible for the continued growth and development of the dealership business in the Bunbury to South - South West WA segment. Most of your time will be spent on the road, dealing with existing and new customers promoting the product portfolio, occasionally conducting demonstrations and meetings in the local showroom in Bunbury - driving sales forward to towards target achievement.

ROLE

In this Account Management, based on the road and out of the Bunbury branch covering the South-West WA Region your day-to-day will look like:

  • Connect with existing and prospective customers to provide them with the machinery to meet their farming operation needs.
  • Manage existing account, providing high quality service and support ensuring repeat business
  • Maintain the CRM system at the dealership
  • Generation quotations and follow-up customer queries that have come through the dealership
  • Conduct demonstrations and on occasion facilitate machine trials as required
  • Negotiate and close sales orders and facilitate the predelivery and training as required
  • Meet and exceed Sales KPI's (both revenue and activity-based)

CANDIDATE
 
To be considered for this role we're open to seeing candidates with one (or more) of the following aforementioned profiles:
  • You have previous agricultural sales experience; you know what it's like to call on farmers, or perhaps other stakeholders in the ag. Industry such as wholesalers, rural suppliers and farming consultants - you could be selling anything from software (Aglytics), crop nutrition, steel fencing, capital equipment like machinery or carbon sequestation services. (just to name a few).
  • You have previous MACHINERY sales experience. It would be ideal if it's agriculturally focused, but it's not essential, which means you might have previously sold (or rented out) equipment to the Construction Industry, Mining Industry or General Industrial i.e. Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs), Excavators (as as example).
  • You have a trade background as a Diesel Mechanic (or similar) with exposure to the preventative and corrective maintenance of Agricultural Machinery and have an interest in moving into sales; you may already have some sales experience which would be even better
  • You have previous internal sales, parts advisory or service administrative experience working for a company that supplies ag. Machinery or parts and possess and interest in advancing your career into external sales.
  • You have B2B sales experience of ANY kind and possess an interest in transitioning into the Agricultural Machinery sector. You may also have specific acquired knowledge of Agricultural Machinery which you should highlight on your CV so we don't miss it.
