The Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager to join our clients small/medium sales team, focusing on driving new business and developing key client relationships. This hands-on sales and technical support position is based Near Perth Airport, requiring regular travel to client operations, both on-site and at ports, to endure the highest of service is delivered and mutually beneficial relationships are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, develop, and grow relationships with all levels of personnel within client organisations.
- Recognize, develop, and close sales opportunities based on client requirements and expectations.
- Provide prompt quotations, technical recommendations, and support.
- Meet (and exceed!) annual sales targets for our product range.
- Manage and develop key clients, ensuring their needs are met with tailored solutions.
- Conduct regular visits to client operations, offering support and feedback.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of client operations to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Implement exclusive client supply and fixed price agreements wherever possible.
About You:
You will be working as part of a dedicated team, reporting to the Aftermarket Sales Manager, and collaborating closely with our engineering and estimating departments. You are expected to:
- Have a technical and/or mechanical background within the mining and materials handling industry.
- Possess an enthusiastic and passionate service attitude, going above and beyond client expectations.
- Demonstrate honesty and integrity in all dealings.
- Communicate effectively at all levels, with a commitment to quality and teamwork.
- Take initiative, working autonomously to build strong client relationships and achieve results.
- Show proven success in 'hunter' sales, preferably within the field of conveyor components.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
