Position Description

- Proactively identify business opportunities within new and existing accounts

- Develop business plans with key accounts and maintain strong business relationships with the customers

- Understand customers’ needs and provide necessary support promptly

- Meet and exceed sales targets by actively promoting QIAGEN products and solutions to key customers across NSW and ACT

- Responsible for sales planning, forecasting and driving sales strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives

- Share market intelligence with the local sales team to increase sales effectiveness

- Participate and support in local sales & marketing events, seminars, conferences and projects

- Maintain CRM Database to keep accurate up to date records of accounts, contacts and opportunities

Position Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology, Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology or related studies

- Based in Sydney or willing to relocate to Sydney at own cost

- Sales experience in Molecular Biology products is an advantage

- Prior lab experience is an advantage

- Good understanding of the diagnostics and R&D sector in Australia is an advantage

- Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

- A good team player

- Prior experience with CRM and SFDC advantageous
