We are recruiting for our national client, assisting in their search for an experienced Account Manager. The Role
This is a full time permanent opportunity, where you will be maintaining and growing relationships with Civil contractors by travelling nationally (at least for one week per month). Your job role will be to:
Managing your face to face call cycle to existing customers, whilst also developing new relationships with Civil contractors and the like
Maximise opportunities by recommending viable products to customers
Work closely with internal sales to manage product pricing and quotations to maximise the profits.
Manage import and export activity to ensure customer satisfaction
Resolve customer complaints
Attend Trade events and conferences
Investigate and research projects in the region to build sales strategy and penetrate accounts / build customers to win projects in the territory
Applicant requirements
To be considered for the role, it is vital that you have the following experience:
A proven track record as an account manager, ideally dealing with Civil contractors
Preferably you will have sold within the rail sector
You will demonstrate a professional manner, with a excellent presentation and communication skills
You will have excellent attention to detail and good understanding for technical industrial products
Degree Qualification in Business (Marketing preferred) or Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution or relevant Industry experience.
Strong relationship manager
A critical thinker who is focused on meeting customers’ needs on a solution basis
Willingness to travel nationally
Proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Use of or ability to use ERP systems in a benefit
Exceptionally well organised with the ability to manage one’s own work-flow.
