Job Description
As a Accountant, you'll play a key role in providing financial leadership, ensuring accurate reporting, and managing payroll processes. You'll also assist in budgeting, forecasting, and driving financial performance. Plus, you'll support the team with daily financial activities including accounts receivable, account payable, fixed assets and general ledger activities.
You will be empowered to:
- Contribute to internal and external audit activities, ensuring all statutory reporting requirements are met within regulatory timelines.
- Support the Finance team in managing daily activities to produce monthly Segment management accounts.
- Oversee internal payroll processes and assist with the calculation and payment of all commission and bonus calculations to ensure employees are paid efficiently.
- Assist with month-end processes, including General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations and production of P&L statements.
- Oversee Segment payroll tax, GST, PAYG, and other statutory reporting obligations.
- Review and analyze financial performance and forecasts, providing recommendations for remediation, improvement, and optimization.
- Assist with the completion of budgets and forecasts, and work on models regarding future profitability, revenue, gross margin, and balance sheet impact.
Qualifications
- Experience in accounting, with a background in financial reporting and analysis.
- CA or CPA qualified, or in process of qualification.
- Proficient in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and create a positive working atmosphere.
- Commitment to promoting the development and continuous improvement of processes and systems to avoid waste and duplication.
