CommBank's Consumer Finance business is looking for Manager to join and lead Home Loan Reporting and Document Management team. Consumer Finance sits within our Retail Operations (RO) business unit, and completes operational processes for our CBA consumer finance products including credit cards and personal loans, along with Home Loan activities such as construction loans, progress payments and government grants.

Our teams are primarily located in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, and together we focus on providing an efficient and high-quality service with a clear differentiation in meeting and exceeding our customers' needs.

The Role.
As the Team Manager you will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and accurate Home Loan Reporting and Document Management. You will lead a team of 15-17 FTE and expected to be heavily involved in leading and driving change to help make meaningful and sustainable improvements. This includes projects and transformation initiatives to create a more efficient Document Management and reporting process for our customers and colleagues.

More broadly, this team focusses on the processing of Construction Loans, including processing builder's payments, Government Guarantees and Grants, and verifying Credit Card & Personal Loan applications including funding and Discharge fulfilment.

You will also directly maintain accurate records, generate Reports and present performance data on processing times and effectiveness to Senior Leaders to ensure our team is operating to a consistently high standard.

On any given day you will:

  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews.
  • Lead and drive improvement and change initiatives
  • Contribute, own and deliver on business projects and change to enhance our capability and the experience we can provide to our stakeholders and end customers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure efficient and accurate reporting and Document Management processes.
  • Identify and address any training needs or knowledge gaps within the team.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to resolve issues, streamline processes, and improve overall loan teams process
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and ensure the team is compliant with all relevant guidelines.
  • Foster a positive team culture, promoting collaboration, teamwork, and a customer-centric approach.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:
Strong customer service background, ideally with exposure to retail banking products from Home-Loans or payment processing and operations. You will have strong relationship building skills and will be skilled in developing team members to ensure our function is continually developing new skills.

You will also have:

  • Experience in leading change, transformation or initiatives to increase performance and business capability
  • Lean Six Sigma experience highly regarded
  • Extensive experience assigning workload, and utilising resources to their potential.
  • Well-developed project skills and able to collaborate on continuous improvement opportunities to identify gaps and suggest process enhancements.
  • Customer centric mindset, and building a culture where our team puts the customer first
