The Position
Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Prepare journals, reconcile accounts, and prepare accruals for month-end processes
- Compile a production report to determine labour and overhead budget variances
- Perform bank reconciliations monthly and on a regular basis
- Reconcile purchase price variance accounts during and after EOM
- Analyse and identify issues with the underlying data for various PPV accounts
- Assist in the preparation of stock reconciliations monthly
- Support inventory lifecycle management
- Provide support for run and product costing
- Assist in purchasing, disposing, and depreciating fixed assets
The Candidate
As a successful applicant, you will have demonstrated experience in accounting functions and have worked in manufacturing, distribution, or retail. You must also be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Have or are studying for a CA/CPA qualification
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with systems
- Maintain high levels of organisation and workflow management
- Ability to work independently and in a team with a positive attitude
