Tasks & responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the financial accounting and reporting functions of the organisation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports.
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making by management.
• Monitor cash flow, accounts payable and receivable, and banking activities.
• Manage payroll processing, tax compliance, and other financial transactions.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
• Coordinate and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Provide financial guidance and support to department heads and senior management.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting principles, tax laws, and regulations.
• Organise and analyse accounting data including but not limited to data included in bank statements, company ledgers, receipts and tax invoices.
• Prepare taxation documentation including but not limited to BAS, profit and loss, balance sheet and tax returns
• Advise on and reconciliate financial discrepancies.
• Daily bookkeeping and report to management.

About you:

• Accounting/ Business/ Finance degree
• CA/ CPA (desired but not essential)
• Proficiency in MYOB
