As a Company Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and compliance across all accounting functions. You will be responsible for handling rental trust accounts, sales trust accounts, general day-to-day accounting tasks, and payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rental Trust Accounting: Manage rental trust accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Sales Trust Accounting: Oversee sales trust accounts, ensuring timely and accurate processing of sales transactions and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- General Accounting: perform day-to-day accounting duties including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Payroll Management: Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with current financial legislation and internal policies.
- Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation for external audits and work closely with auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- Strong understanding of trust accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
