Accountant

About the opportunity:

We’re seeking an enthusiastic Accountant to join our friendly, fun, inclusive team. 

This is a newly created position that allows you to shape it as your own. You’ll be the final piece of the puzzle, creating a wholistic team that delivers financial accounting services to a global organisation, on a national scale. 

Reporting to and working closely with our Financial Accountant, you’ll perform a range of support functions to the finance team, particularly in financial accounting, tax & compliance.  

In this diverse and dynamic role, you’ll also assist with the accurate and timely reporting of month end financial results to local leadership and to Komatsu Mining HQ in Milwaukee, USA and support the quarterly and annual statutory reporting requirements and tax and treasury activities as required.

Requirements:

• 4+ years’ experience in a finance role, preferably in a large company.
• Degree in Accounting or Commerce.
• Recently completed/ close to completion of formal financial qualification (CA/CPA).
• Good communication skills – written and verbal.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
• SAP experience beneficial.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Superior work ethic along with the capability to build and maintain positive relationships with the team.
