About the role
Viterra is seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic and supportive finance team located in Parkside. The varied role provides exposure to management, financial and tax accounting allowing you to enhance your existing skills and further develop your career. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will assist stakeholders across the business to understand financial performance and make business decisions.
Key tasks include month-end accounting processes and reconciliations as well as variance analysis and internal reporting. The role is also involved in external reporting requirements including statutory reporting and preparation of tax submissions. All team members are encouraged to identify and implement improvements in the effectiveness and efficiency of finance processes.
Duties
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reporting packs for management.
- Completion of month-end business unit tasks as required.
- Assist the Financial Controller with analysis of business unit profitability and preparation of budgets and forecasts including annual capital budget.
- Responsible for compliance with internal controls including quarterly testing.
- Assist with statutory reporting for Viterra and its controlled subsidiaries.
About you
- Studying, or eligible to study, CPA or CA Program
- High competency in Microsoft Excel
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in large accounting firm or commercial management accounting role, including experience in preparation of income tax, FBT and GST, is desirable
