Given the expansion of our business, we have identified that we require a fulltime Assistant Accountant to support our business.
About the role
ROLE WILL BE BASED ON SITE IN OUR DURAL HEAD OFFICE
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team. The role is to undertake financial and administrative tasks as directed by the Finance Manager. You will be a quick thinker with the ability to problem solve, thrive on analysing data and importantly, be a team player.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable including raising of invoices
- Payroll processing
- General bookkeeping duties including data entry, bank reconciliations, reimbursements and foreign currency transactions
- Assisting with order processing
- Support month-end and year-end close process including BAS preparation
- Monthly reporting requirements including development of budgets and forecasts
- Assist the Finance Manager with adhoc analysis
- Collaborate with different stakeholders across Finance, the Business and the wider organisation

Skills and experience required
- Proven experience in an account’s role including a thorough understanding of GST, budget development and cashflow
- Formal qualification in accounting or business, that supports a strong financial understanding
- Excellent work ethic with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong Analytical skills
- Advanced computing skills including the use of Xero & Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with exceptional time management skills, whilst remaining calm under pressure;
- The ability to work autonomously and importantly, as part of a team;
- A positive “can do” attitude.
- Effective organisational skills and time management
- Importantly, energetic and a sense of humour
Fulltime role: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm in our Dural Office
Remuneration package will be based on experience and skills.
