SAFERIGHT PTY LTD is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) over a period of 33 years, we deliver variety of quality safety trainings, manufacturing of safety equipment and provide efficient engineering solutions.
We are seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic Accountant to join our highly motivated and talented team, in a permanent full-time capacity.
The Role:
The role offers exposure to a wide variety of tasks associated with:
- Bank Reconciliation
- Preparation of management reporting and statutory reporting financial information (including Cash Flow Projection, ATO reporting, payroll tax)
- Processing and reconciling inter-company activity
- Assisting with month-end transaction
- Preparation of monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting with the Accounts Payable / Receivable function
- Payroll processing and reconciliations
- Payroll Tax and Superannuation submission
- Ad hoc duties as assigned by the Financial Controller
Skills and Attributes:
- Bachelor degree majoring in Accounting or CPA.
- Excellence in Microsoft Excel data management and competence in Microsoft Word
- At least three years of working experience in a similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrated good oral and written communication skill
- Strong organisation and prioritising skills
- Support development of streamlined financial processes and creating business performance efficiency
- Excellent numerical skill
The Candidate:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 3 years prior experience in Accounting with a strong academic track record;
- Exceptional communication skills;
- Excellent time management and attention to detail;
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others;
- A strong work ethic and initiative; and
- Commitment to further training and professional development.
Your background:
- 3+ years' experience in Accounting Reporting
- Degree qualified and working toward, or preparing to work toward, obtaining CPA status.
- Previous exposure to accounting and tax software; strong skills in using Xero will be highly regarded.
As part of your role, you will build and maintain proactive working relationships and rapport with colleagues and external contacts. This is a diverse and key role with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable to, as such, we are looking for a dedicated, proactive and flexible individual with great team-working skills.
