· Preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information
· Recommending financial actions by analysing accounting options
· Summarising current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
· Performing general accounting functions including, journal entries, general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations, and month end accrual preparation
· Developing and implementing improved accounting policies and procedures
- Monitor cash flow, budget variances, and financial metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to provide financial insights and support for operational and strategic initiatives.
- Stay informed about changes in Australian accounting regulations, standards, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.
