Address Accountant - Building industry (Melbourne)
Well established, our client is a rapidly growing Building industry participant, specialising in the concreting and associated trades, working across Melbourne and beyond. In line with increasing business turnover and success, the business has requested Kogan People Solutions to help them recruit their new qualified and experienced Accountant.
About the role
Based in offices in Epping Vic, as the newly appointed Accountant, you will become a core member of the office team and report to their Directors. You will provide support to Directors on all accounting, budgeting and financing matters. You will be assisted as necessary by other friendly team members.

Reporting to Company Management your responsibilities will include.
* Management of the company’s precious cash flow intelligence;
* General ledger reporting;
*Preparing financial management reporting for internal stakeholders;
* Responsible for the preparation of company financial budgets;
* Preparation of regular financial reports, with a focus on accuracy and their compliance with statutory requirements;
* Examining and reporting on operating costs, income and expenditure;
* Variance analysis and associated analytical efforts;
* Participate in review and upgrades of accounting systems and processes;
* Manage the relationship with the external tax resource.
About you
* You have verifiable experience as an Accountant managing the Accounting function within a similarly busy and complex Building industry environment with ATO, ASIC reporting and compliance obligations
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or agreed alternative
* At least 2 or more years’ working experience since you earned your qualifications.
CA or CPA or progress towards same
* A well organised working style – able to cheerfully meet demanding work requirements.
* Excellent written and verbal communication style
* Working rights – you can work full time in Australia without any restriction.
