We are a small Chartered Accounting Firm located in the heart of North Sydney, offering our clients comprehensive accounting, auditing and advisory services to corporates, superannuation funds, SMEs and high net worth individuals.
Our practice operates through a small team of professionals in a friendly environment. We are seeking an accountant with some Business Services experience to join our North Sydney based team.
About the role
The role involves assisting in the preparation of financial statements. including BAS, GST and tax returns, for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and superannuation funds, with some client contact.
The selected candidate will manage their own workflow, maintain client contact, and eventually present completed work for review. Additionally, the role includes a small amount of auditing for both private companies and SMSFS. Any audit experience would therefore be advantageous.
Work will be conducted under the supervision of the principal, with training provided. Our practice utilises various cloud-based software options (Class Super, Xero, MYOB), depending on client needs.

Skills and experience
The successful candidate will likely have an accounting degree and be willing to pursue CPA/ACA accreditation. Additionally, they should posses 1-2 years Business Services/taxation or audit experience in an accounting practice.
Experience in business structures and their tax implications is also desirable, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills for client interaction.

- Experience with relevant accounting software systems such as MYOB, Xero
- Working knowledge of technology essential.
