About the opportunity:
Working within a small team of professionals and operating under broad direction, this role will support the Financial Reporting & Operations Manager in managing and overseeing the statutory reporting obligations of the University and its affiliated entities.
Collaborating across the team this role will:
• Provide strategic financial accounting advice
• Co-ordinate the general ledger review and maintenance across the University Group.
• Maintain the general ledger chart of accounts and perform periodic updates.
• Provide financial support, monitoring, reporting support.
• Respond to finance related surveys and data collections.
• Prepare reconciliations, including month end Balance Sheet.
• Stay updated on evolving accounting standards and reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
Applicants must hold a CPA certification and possess the ability to apply and interpret transactions effectively. Additionally, a strong understanding of tax principles is required, along with a willingness to learn about international digitization taxation.
