WesTrac are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant (Fixed Assets) to join our growing Finance team.
Reporting to the Accounting Lead, the Accountant will be responsible for all Capex processing and reconciling Fixed Assets, pre-payments and general accounting related transactions.
Key Accountabilities Include:
- Create and maintain all fixed asset master data within SAP to facilitate both AUC and direct capitalisation processes.
- Performing cost accounting functions including the creation and maintenance of internal orders, settlement rules and assessing shared costs at month end.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to provide CAPEX accounting support whenever required.
- Reviewing and reconciling assigned general ledger accounts and making required adjustments.
- Processing journal postings and managing month end close processes including performing reconciliations.
- Engaging with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

- Bachelor Degree within Accountancy or equivalent business related degree, CA or CPA qualification
- Minimum of 4 years accounting experience, of which at least 2 years Fixed Asset accounting experience within in a large complex organisation.
- Ability to manage high transaction volumes and data sets.
- External / internal audit experience
- SAP or equivalent ERP experience
- Advanced computer literacy skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Ability to accurately analyse large volumes of data.
- Good relationship building skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal), including consultation, negotiation, and facilitation skills to effectively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet objectives.
- Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously.
