Accountant - Fixed Assets

WesTrac are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant (Fixed Assets) to join our growing Finance team.
Reporting to the Accounting Lead, the Accountant will be responsible for all Capex processing and reconciling Fixed Assets, pre-payments and general accounting related transactions.
Key Accountabilities Include:

• Create and maintain all fixed asset master data within SAP to facilitate both AUC and direct capitalisation processes.
• Performing cost accounting functions including the creation and maintenance of internal orders, settlement rules and assessing shared costs at month end.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to provide CAPEX accounting support whenever required.
• Reviewing and reconciling assigned general ledger accounts and making required adjustments.
• Processing journal postings and managing month end close processes including performing reconciliations.
• Engaging with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

To be successful the following is required:

• Bachelor Degree within Accountancy or equivalent business related degree, CA or CPA qualification
• Minimum of 4 years accounting experience, of which at least 2 years Fixed Asset accounting experience within in a large complex organisation.
• Ability to manage high transaction volumes and data sets.
• External / internal audit experience
• SAP or equivalent ERP experience
• Advanced computer literacy skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Ability to accurately analyse large volumes of data.
• Good relationship building skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships.
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal), including consultation, negotiation, and facilitation skills to effectively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet objectives.
• Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously.
