Fighting Chance are on the lookout for an Accountant to support the business, its social enterprises and their employees. This is a hands-on role encompassing a range of duties within the accounting function. Reporting to the Finance Director, the key areas of accountability will include:

  • Accounts Receivable and Payable
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Reporting and interrogation of data
  • Maintenance of good financial controls

The successful candidate will be an ambitious individual looking to further their career in Accounting. You will have experience in Accounts Receivable, reconciliations and month end exposure. Ideally you will have an Accounting or related degree & intend to / have commenced your CA / CPA.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Degree qualified with relevant qualification
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an accounting role
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Creative approach to problem solving
  • Outstanding organisational skills and ability to work in a highly dynamic environment with competing priorities
  • Attention to detail
  • A passion for (and/or experience with) working with people with disability
  • A proactive work ethic and willingness to jump in, collaborate, and get any job done
  • Ability to work autonomously and self-motivate
  • Availability and willingness to work on weekends and evenings on occasion
  • Possess or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check.
  • Proof of Covid 19 Vaccinations - including Booster
