Job Objective
As an Account Manager / Trade Assistant, you will support our busy Trade Team / Managing Director with an existing portfolio of international customers. You will help service all clients by managing their current product requirements while ensuring the highest customer satisfaction. The role will see you assisting the Trade Team in all sales related matters.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide Day-to-day support & assistance to the Trade Team
- Managing existing customers product inquiries and needs
- Maintain strong and ongoing relationships with customers
- Prepare and submit quotes and offers to customers with competitive pricing from suppliers
- All general administration duties as determined from time to time.
- Liaise with customers to determine their future product needs
- Prepare cost calculations and offers to ensure continuous rhythm of business
- Seek to increase customer product range where possible
Relationships
- This role has close liaison with clients and suppliers to develop new business opportunities. Requires strong customer skills and will need to represent the company in a professional manner
- Work within a team, be a team player as well as being able to work independently
Experience
- 3-5 years experience in all aspects of international trading and INCOTERMS terms
- Demonstrated experience in similar position
- Experience in Steel related products required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office especially Outlook, Word and Excel
- Good knowledge in export sales practices including preparation of inquiries, quotations and orders
- Knowledge in international trading and INCOTERMS.
- Demonstrated experience in servicing customers/suppliers
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
- Display a business attitude in decision making process
- Display initiative to resolve everyday work issues
