Accountant - Hybrid Wfh

Work a 9 day fortnight as a full-time team member, 2 days in the office/week and the rest from anywhere.

Do you have strong skills and experiences as both a strong financial operator and a thinker and strategist to make valuable contributions to our internal Finance Team with team members in Sydney, offshore support services and external accountants?

Based in Pitt Street down the Circular Quay end, we need someone who, like us, values team work, accountability, and positivity. You'll bring construction knowledge and experience. We'll bring a 9 day fortnight, flexibility in every way, supportive managers and a great culture.

About the role

Amicus is a specialist in Designing and Construction Workspaces, offering additional services in Strategy, Technology, Finance and more.

The Sydney team is a team of ~35 within a broader company of ~90.

This role is in the Finance team and in this team there are 3 team members in Sydney plus offshore support services and external accountants.

Here are some examples of what you’ll do

• Month end reporting - financial and management accounting
• Month end General Ledger reconciliations and Balance sheet reconciliations
• ATO reporting
• Assist with year end preparation of external accounts
• Monthly payroll
• Internal management reporting - company scorecards
• Construction WIP reporting
• Suggest new ways of doing things and improving what we currently do
• Ad-hoc reporting
• Work closely with the finance team and the broader team at Amicus

Here is what will make you ideal for the role

• Advanced reconciliation skills
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principals and data analysis
• Experience in lodging ATO required reporting
• Month end and financial year end experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience in construction is advantageous.
• CA / CPA qualified highly desirable
