As an innovative and diverse medium size enterprise MVS, works to supply contract tree, vegetation and environmental services in predominantly local and state governments as well as commercial projects. The company is currently looking for an Accountant. BenefitsTask & ResponsibilitiesThe accounting key criteria will include, however not limited to:
Develop relevant monthly/quarterly management/financial accounts, cash flow and variances report in support of business objectives.
Collaborate in the formulation of budgetary and accounting policies, providing strategic insights and guidance.
Prepare comprehensive financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, and governing and statutory bodies, ensuring that they align with strategic objectives.
Analyze operating costs and assess income and expenditure strategically to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth
Offer assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and actively ensure compliance with statutory requirements, proactively addressing potential compliance issues
Provide strategic financial and taxation advice regarding business structures, plans, and operations, optimizing financial strategies for long-term success.
Identify and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead initiatives to develop, review, and enhance internal control systems, ensuring they support the organization's strategic goals.
Qualification & Experience
Degree with Major in Accounting.
Working experience with XERO, MYOB (minimum 3 years' experience)
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
An advanced user of MS Excel,
Have a strong desire to learn,
Be prepared to grow within the organization.
