THE ROLE
We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our client’s team on a part-time basis. This role would require you to work 22.5 hours per week with flexibility to spread your hours across this week. There is possible room to move to be on a full-time basis down the track.
This position would allow you to work on a diverse mix of clients while being part of a dedicated and driven team.
Key responsibilities include:
Tax and compliance for multiple business structures, and individuals as well as providing business advisory services
Prepare financial statements and other business lodgments for corporations, partnerships, trusts, and a variety of small businesses.
Provide general corporate guidance to clients, including tax preparation, FBT, payroll tax, and STP.
Preparation of monthly and annual financial and management reports.
Identifying and calculating FBT, CGT and Div7A as and when required
Annual tax planning with your clients and building strong, transparent relationships along the way
To be successful in this role you will require:
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working as an Accountant (Public practice is desired)
Experience in Xero is a must, XPM highly desirable
Broad knowledge of Australian tax fundamentals
Ability to partner & engage stakeholders at various levels & communicate effectively
Effective in building and maintaining relationships with clients.
Strong organisational and time management skills
