Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks, including creating and sending invoices, maintaining financial records, and reconciling bank statements using Xero. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of accounting principles and be eager to develop their skills in a dynamic, supportive environment. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their accounting career to gain valuable experience and grow within our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and sending client invoices, and following up unpaid accounts
- Prepare financial statements and reports, including the profit and loss statement and balance sheet
- Assist with budget preparation and manage financial forecasting
- Assisting with payroll processing and ensuring accurate salary payments to employees
- Reconciliation of bank statements and accounts payable and receivable
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience as an accountant, with solid bookkeeping experience
- Strong proficiency in Xero
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
