AddressDue to new business acquisitions, a position has come available for an Assistant Accountant who will have a focus on monthly reconciliations, management reports and asset registers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing month end reports, creating general journals and accruals
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, invoices and expense reports
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts and manage fixed assets
- Provide support to accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of BAS
- Analyze budget variances and review P&L with managers
- Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes
Skills and Experience
- Past experience as an Assistant Accountant or Senior Finance Officer
- Intermediate Excel skills and experience with Microsoft accounting packages high advantageous
- Degree in accounting/finance and working towards CA or CPA
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
