This 100% Australian owned & industry leader in the ever-growing Caravan and Camper Trailer market, is seeking a qualified Accountant to join its HO in Caloundra.
With over 80 staff nationally and a significant presence within the Sales and Service Market environment gained by both commitment and dedication to their customers, our client is looking for a resolute, focussed Accountant to assist with taking the company into the next growth stage.
Reporting to the Directors, you will be responsible for:
- Assist in development and implementation of financial strategies, minimizing risks and forecasting opportunities.
- Provide financial reporting and analysis promptly and accurately.
- Oversee budget consolidation and manage cash flow.
- Identify areas for improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business.
- Manage debt, prepare company tax and BAS statements, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Collaborate with senior management, providing financial insights.
- Provide monthly financial reporting and analysis.
- Oversee AR tasks, including invoicing and debt collection.
- Run BAS, IAS tax, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and general ledger management.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A minimum of 5 years in a similar finance role
- Proven experience as an Accountant/CFO or in a senior financial leadership role
- Experience with Ultimate System – Eclipse & XERO
- Experience with CRMs
- Strong analytical skills to drive business performance.
- Exceptional knowledge of tax, financial application, and operations.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Exceptional knowledge of financial statements and accruals.
- Demonstrable firsthand experience with Excel, MYOB, and building budget/forecast, as well as cashflow forecasting.
- An initiative-taker who can work with a high degree of autonomy.
- Comfortable working in a casual but highly motivated team
This role will play a crucial part in shaping the financial strategy and driving the overall financial health of the organisation. You will collaborate closely with the owners to ensure sound economic management, strategic planning, and sustainable growth is achieved. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with a strong financial acumen and a proven record in the construction or related industry with exposure to high growth businesses.
