Are you a driven and experienced Accountant seeking a dynamic opportunity? IPAA Victoria is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to join our team and take charge of managing our financial and business systems.
As an integral part of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that IPAA's financial operations align seamlessly with our organisational objectives and meet all statutory reporting requirements. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer you will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with financial policies and external reporting obligations.

About the position
The Accountant works closely with the Chief Operating Officer and across the IPAA Victoria Leadership Team to ensure the organisation provides timely, high quality financial reporting internally and to the IPAA Board and Audit, Finance and Risk Committee.
This position will suit somebody that enjoys overseeing and coordinating the delivery of an internal finance and accounting function, including:
- Developing and maintaining clear, concise business process documentation within role accountability
- Collaborating with Program Delivery and Membership teams to ensure accurate financial recording and processing
- Completing end of month journals and reconciliations, preparing monthly financial statements including Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Trial Balances and Cash Flow statements and forecasting
- Managing and ensuring compliance of BAS, GST and other statutory payments.
- Actively contributing to innovation and quality improvements across IPAA
- Reviewing pricing and budgets to ensure revenue and key business objectives are met
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Supporting reporting to the Board and other key stakeholders
