On our mission to modernize the beverage supply chain, your role as our Accountant will be primarily focused on management of day-to-day Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Receivable functions, while also providing support for various operational tasks as they arise. The OpportunityReporting to the Director of Finance (Melbourne) and working closely with our US Finance team, primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Preparation of invoices; creation of new customer accounts and management of in-account subscription changes (in NetSuite)
- Maintenance of general ledgers and sub-ledger reconciliations (including Prepayments, Fixed Assets; Provisions and Accruals)
- Processing of monthly Payroll and Expense Reimbursements for Australian staff (using Rippling)
- Completion of month end suite of processes to assist the Director of Finance in the preparation of monthly financial reports and KPI tracking
- Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable - processing payments and accounts receivable management (including outbound emails and calls to customers, as required)
- Respond to customer email enquiries, related to accounts / billing
- Compliance reporting including monthly BAS preparation in Australia, independent state taxes and ad-hoc fillings in the United States.
Preferred qualifications and experience required for success in this role include:
- Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, with a focus on managing financial operations
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Exposure to dealing with US-based customers (and ability to work flexibility, managing zones differences)
- Experience in having used NetSuite and advanced Excel capabilities will be strongly preferred
- A can-do approach to work. Someone who is not afraid to “roll-up their sleeves”, take-on tasks and details that may or may not always be traditionally Finance (e.g. Customer Success initiatives).
- A demonstrated ability in problem-solving, great communication and time management skills
