Our client in Australia is renowned for its enormous range of handmade gourmet pies, speciality artisan bread, cakes, and delicious treats. It has won over 100 National Baking Awards and is looking for a Cost Accountant.
We are looking for the following skills and experience:
- Must have a CPA License and bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 8+ years’ experience working as a licensed accountant.
- Experience in End-to-End Accounts Payable and stock control practices – including processing stock takes.
- Cost analysis for improved business financial improvement
- Proficient in using accounting software (preferably software designed for retail or manufacturing)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience with supplier price negotiations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent and clear communicator (able to manage supplier negotiations and collaborate throughout the business)
- Good presentation and grooming (clean-shaven and no tattoos)
- Experience is highly desirable but not essential with MYOB software.
- Experience with the month-end process is highly desirable but not essential with MYOB software.
- Experience in manufacturing, retail, or hospitality industry is highly desirable but not essential
