The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented and driven Accountant to use their skills to help support our team in the way we deliver finance services to our clients. You’ll be working alongside a dynamic, inclusive and passionate Finance Manager and will have the opportunity to get your hands on good quality, interested and varied work from day one. You won’t be ring-fenced from clients or not given the opportunity to learn and give things a go – we’ll support you in your learning everyday.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Daily bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assisting with month end journals including accruals, prepayments and any other relevant journals for the preparation of financial reports
- Fixed Asset Register Maintenance
- Preparing and assisting with Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts, including compiling all supporting evidence to portray accurate financial positions
- Collaborating with and supporting internal and external stakeholders by providing financial data and reports
- Completion of Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with statutory lodgements
- Supporting for budgeting and forecasting reports
- Performing ad hoc accounting duties to support the accounts team
- Relevant tertiary qualification within accounting/finance
- You will be working towards or commencing towards your CPA/CA certification
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong Excel skills
- A willingness to learn & work in a team environment
- Exceptional client service skills
- A great can-do attitude that is going to contribute to the culture of our business
