PARC Engineering are specialists in Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation projects. We provide technical services to the Australian energy and resources sector with specific experience in the Minerals and Mining, Oil and Gas, Infrastructure, and Power Generation Industries.
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts and Payroll Officer to join the team here in our head office located in Applecross.
Based in our Applecross Head Office and reporting to our Payroll & Accounts Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Processing weekly payroll across all business units
- Gaining client timesheet approvals
- Processing statutory payments
- Reporting to authorities such as MyLeave
- Bank and Credit Card reconciliation
- Processing AP invoices with relevant approvals and performing supplier payment runs
- Assisting with other accounting tasks
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- 1-2 years prior experience in a Payroll/Bookkeeping role or similar - ideally within the mining and construction industries. No formal Qualification is required for this role
- Experience with MYOB, Office and Excel essential
- First rate customer service skills
- Be able to effectively communicate and build relationships at all levels
- Work well within a small and tight knit team
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Strong attention to detail
