About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Accounts Manager to join our tight-knit and friendly team at our Vineyard, NSW office. This is a part-time permanent position (30.4 hours per week) that offers you the flexibility to work across 4/5 days per week and includes hybrid working options once established in the role. 

As our Accounts Manager, you'll be the backbone of our financial processes, overseeing both internal and external accounts with precision and dedication. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll spearhead key responsibilities such as managing accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, cash flow management, and handling operational administration duties. In addition, you'll play a pivotal role in supervising our Receptionist who actively supports this position. Our internal support network also extends into our payroll, administration, and transport departments to ensure the day-to-day operations of Elf Mushrooms are conducted in an efficient and timely manner. 

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable and Receivable functions

• Invoice payments seamlessly via EFT for both domestic and international transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Handling of Remittance Advice and reconciliation of Debtors Statements.
• Conduct thorough reconciliation of Debtors' Statements to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.
• Take charge of invoicing for various transactions, including cash sales, lease payments, and debt collection duties when required.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare comprehensive Financial Reports on a monthly basis, offering valuable insights to the Managing Director for informed decision-making.
• Preparation of BAS Activity Statements for all applicable companies monthly, maintaining adherence to regulatory standards.
• Liaise with the Accountant to facilitate smooth financial operations and reporting processes.

Other Responsibilities

• Reconciliation of bank accounts across all companies, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial data.
• Execute journal entries to accurately reflect financial transactions and maintain financial records.
• Facilitate banking of cash and internal international payments through online banking platforms, demonstrating proficiency in managing cross-border financial transactions.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director and Farm Manager in developing and managing budgets, contributing to strategic decision-making.
• Work closely with the transport department and external stakeholders, including cargo, Truck Drivers, Freight Forwarders, and Suppliers, to optimise logistical operations and financial efficiency.

About You

This position requires a dedicated, proactive, and team-orientated individual with an in-depth understanding of Accounts Management processes. The successful candidate will encompass a hands-on approach to the day-to-day operations of Elf Mushrooms which includes a willingness to support the team with payroll, administration, and miscellaneous tasks when required. This person will also have:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Accounts Manager or similar position.
• Experience working in an agricultural, manufacturing, or logistics industry is beneficial.
• Strong stakeholder management skills in both a domestic and international setting.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise duties effectively.
• Exposure to payroll, administrative, and supervision duties (highly desirable).
• Proficient in the use of Accounting and Finance software such as Reckon and Lewis Pay-Pack.
• Advanced MS Suite skills, in particular – MS Excel.
• A willingness to support the team with tasks to ensure all operational processes are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
• High attention to detail.
