About You
The successful applicant will seek to support the growth of the Finance function through continuous improvement practices. This role would suit an individual with a solution orientated approach with a focus on efficiency and will report to the Accounts Manager.
Key responsibilities will include:
Accounts Payable
- Key role responsible for end-to-end processing payments for the overall National Business;
- Assist in ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, and accounting standards including Goods and Services Tax (GST);
- Responsible for account inquiries from internal and external sources
Cash Management
- Perform daily bank reconciliations (bank and credit cards);
- Assist with bank account administration
Finance Support
- Ensure year end Accounts Payable processes are completed accurately and within timeframes provided by the Accounts Manager;
- Provide support during year end audits and tax preparation;
- Provide support with monthly payroll when required;
To be successful in the role it is expected that you will have the following skills:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role;
- Strong accounting skills and proficiency with accounting software (MYOB) and Microsoft Office (intermediate excel);
- Project-based experience desired;
- Strong math and critical reasoning skills, along with excellent attention to detail/accuracy and proven ability to grasp tasks swiftly;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively;
- Openness to change and ability to adapt to new circumstances;
