About the role
Due to business growth, we currently have an exciting position for an Electrical Project Coordinator to provide electrical expertise in the design, construction, and commissioning of each project and provide ongoing support to various projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role will be working with the Infrastructure Services business unit and mainly operating from the Deception Bay office, with site travel between the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay region.
The Role
- Review and plan projects with the Electrical Project Manager to ensure the technical components of each job are clear
- Development of work packs to ensure sub-contract suppliers and site installation scopes are clearly understood
- Ask as a point of call for all technical and procurement-based queries from the site team, client, or associated sub-suppliers
- Liaise with both internal and external engineers as required for the successful completion of each project
- Quality Control across various projects ensuring project requirements are being adhered to along with company procedures are being followed
- Coordinate procurement packages with internal and external agents as necessary
- Manage and track project expenditure in relation to scope and budget for materials and labour
- Aid in managing project documents and drawing control
- Development of post-project documents such as; Operations & Maintenance Manuals
- Assist with project reporting for both internal and client purposes
- Read and interpret electrical drawings
- Compile procurement packs from drawings
- Implement simple redline schematic markups
- Develop installation methods based on electrical drawings and schematic markups
Requirements
- “A” Grade Electrical license OR relevant Electrical Bachelor Degree/Diploma - with extensive experience within an industrial electrical environment
- High level of computer literacy across MS Office products and ERP Software
- Possess attention to detail, ability to prioritise and manage own time
- Personal flexibility to operate in a dynamic work environment
- Understanding of Australian Standards, the National Construction Code and Regulations
- Legal unrestricted rights to work in Australia
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Well-developed communication skills including the ability to interact with internal customers, external stakeholders, and clients
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and promote cohesive teamwork
