Form of workMara Global Foods is an ingredient supplier specialising in non-allergen, soy based and gluten free products. We also produce protein meals for various industries and service-based processes for the soy industry.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Officer with a keen eye for detail to join our local long-term business that offers flexible working hours for the right person. The role is 2-3 days per week with room for additional hours.

Responsibilities for the role include:
- Perform the day-to-day processing of various financial transactions (both accounts payable and receivable) to ensure that company finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner ensuring all income and expenses are allocated to appropriate departments and ledger accounts.
- Process weekly payroll, ensuring timely and accurate data entry, recording leave, resolving pay queries etc.
- Process new customer account applications and complete credit reference checks.
- Statement reconciliations.
- Assist with end of month procedures.
- Assist with diverse administrative tasks including answering calls, scanning, filing, data entry, record keeping, maintaining supplies and supporting various teams within the company.
About You:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience with Xero preferred, however, not essential.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Competent using MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including an excellent professional phone manner.
- Ability to prioritise with solid time management skills.
- Capable of completing work accurately and within deadlines.
- Ability to perform general administration tasks.
- A flexible team player with a positive attitude.
Hourly rate negotiable based on qualifications and experience!
