Accounts Officer
Position Overview
Reporting to the Officer/Finance Manager this position is responsible for supporting the effective delivery of finance functions, including all aspects of accounts payable and receivable.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and entry of accurate financial and administration records
- Perform standard finance functions including accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Ensure all required financial reporting is completed and submitted within required timeframes
- Assist in the preparation of Financial Statements, Tax Returns and BAS as required by Accountant
- Support and work with the office team with administrative tasks as required
- Maintenance of Vehicle and Equipment register
- Manage office stationary levels and staff amenities
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience using MYOB – Essential
- Positive attitude and attention to detail including understanding and following directions
- Ability to learn new systems quickly
- Ability to communicate well and work closely with a team
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar role/s.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and set priorities, undertake new tasks quickly and meet deadlines.
- Sound understanding of confidentiality.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Drivers Licence
