Our client is a major fashion retail organisation based just outside the Melbourne CBD.
About The Role
An opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer to help support the Accounts Payable Team for the next 4 weeks with possibility for extension.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- End to end, high volume invoice processing
- Review all invoices prior to payment
- Prioritise invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
- Distribute invoices and validate for payment
- Process weekly payment run
- Vendor maintenance and respond to all vendor inquiries
- Reconcile vendor statements and correct discrepancies
- Assist in month end closing, including month end journals
About You
- A good eye for detail and enjoy administration aspects of your role
- Able to deliver on tight deadlines
- Accurate and fast data processing
- Developed Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Clear communication skills
