Join the largest government authority in Northern Australia! Our client has a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to work on a short-term assignment until end of June 2024 with possibility of an extension.About the role:
- Identify internal control issues around the payment of invoices and supplier master data.
- Conduct follow up procedures resulting from ‘on-hold’ status of invoices.
- Conduct daily duties including total management of invoices received from suppliers from receipt to payment within terms.
- Participate in a multi skilling program to ensure this position can perform essential tasks in the absence of other team members. This includes but is not limited to corporate travel, corporate credit card administration, payment requests, EOM, external and internal reporting, and troubleshooting of all software used by the Accounts Payable.
- You will have previous Accounts Payable experience
- You will have sound knowledge in Technology One, SAP and Oracle
- You will have Data Entry experience
- You will have strong attention to detail
- You will have intermediate to advanced IT skills
- You will have good time management and organisational skills
- ASAP start (pending checks)
- Temporary assignment until end of June 2024 with possibility of extension
- Hours 8.00am - 4.30pm
- Townsville, QLD location
- $46.41 per hour plus super
