Accounts Payable Officer

Accounts Payable OfficerAbout the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our team on a contract basis ($45-$47 per hour). In this role, you will be responsible for the full life cycle of invoices, from receipt to payment, ensuring timely processing and adherence to company policies and regulations. You will also play a vital role in maintaining positive relationships with our suppliers.Responsibilities:

• Process invoices from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Manage invoice approvals and follow up on invoices placed on hold.
• Apply council administrative and financial policies, systems, and processes to ensure efficient and compliant Accounts Payable operations.
• Conduct research, analyse financial data, and troubleshoot any discrepancies or issues related to Accounts Payable.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within enterprise-wide financial applications (e.g., Oracle, Technology One, SAP).

Qualifications:

• Certificate IV in Business (or equivalent) + experience in Accounts Payable.
• Proven experience in Accounts Payable (medium to large organization).
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable principles.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel & Word).
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
• Prioritization, time management, & accuracy.
• Analytical problem-solving & teamwork.
• Commitment to safety & compliance.
• National Police Check required.
