The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Finance Manager& Company Secretary, your role will see you support the Assistant Accountant, Treasury Accountant, Finance Managers and the CFO across an array of financial management activities. This will include assisting with the review of Accounts Payable payment runs as required, managing all corporate credit cards including timely monthly processing of all expenses and associated journals, and providing technical expertise and general business knowledge to support the Accounts Payable department.
In addition you will be the point of contract for external stakeholders regarding Accounts Payable enquiries and you will be up to date with legislation changes and manage and maintain our reporting requirements; including Payment Times Reporting, Subcontractor Retention Quarterly Statements and Taxable Payments Reporting to the ATO.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Appropriate working rights and qualification.
- Experience in the commercial construction industry.
- Working knowledge of State accounting legislation, especially as it applies to the construction industry.
- Ability to understand and apply policy and procedures that meet legislative requirements.
- Strong influencing skills and an ability to develop internal networks and trust with enterprise and project site team.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
