Our client is a leading tier 2 construction company specialising in new builds, refurbs, fit outs, and remedial works. The team are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function and oversee a small team.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall day-to-day worklow for Accounts Payable for the business.
- Supervising a small team of 3 Accounts Payable officers, with emphasis on team development and successful delegation
- Overseeing a high volume, part-automated process
- Maintain and troubleshoot a new paperless system to improve the automation process
- Performance manage Accounts Payable team - setting achievable KPI targets and assisting with both personal and team development
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and ensure AP team follow correct processes and maintain these relationships
- Support and work closely with CFO and Finance Manager
- Demonstrated and proven success in a similar role, ideally from the Construction or service delivery industry
- Experience managing a team
- Examples of initiative , manage, delegate and a maintain a healthy, functioning team
- Strong communication to be able to deal with all levels of stakeholders, suppliers and employees

- A remuneration package upwards of $110K + superannuation (experience dependent)
- Office based in Redfern
