Accounts Payable Manager | Construction

Our client is a leading tier 2 construction company specialising in new builds, refurbs, fit outs, and remedial works. The team are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function and oversee a small team.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall day-to-day worklow for Accounts Payable for the business.

• Supervising a small team of 3 Accounts Payable officers, with emphasis on team development and successful delegation
• Overseeing a high volume, part-automated process
• Maintain and troubleshoot a new paperless system to improve the automation process 
• Performance manage Accounts Payable team - setting achievable KPI targets and assisting with both personal and team development
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and ensure AP team follow correct processes and maintain these relationships
• Support and work closely with CFO and Finance Manager

About You

• Demonstrated and proven success in a similar role, ideally from the Construction or service delivery industry
• Experience managing a team
• Examples of initiative , manage, delegate and a maintain a healthy, functioning team
• Strong communication to be able to deal with all levels of stakeholders, suppliers and employees
• JOBPAC experience

• A remuneration package upwards of $110K + superannuation (experience dependent)
